Hardest Working Village in Show Business?

Do any of our Liberian readers know anything about a small village somewhere called James Brown? I heard a rumor that it exists, but not suprisingly, there's nothing on the web. The mapmakers at the Humanitarian Information Coordination dept of the UN told me that there are 10,000 settlements here, or rather, there's that many that have recognized names and place codes on the map.

I have not heard about a village called James Brown. However, I would not be surprised to know that one exist. I would suggest that you talk to folks from Grand Bassa, Owing Grove, Arthington or Clay Ashland they might be able to provide answer to your question.

Now I find that there's a town called Rock Crusher! Here's a crazy long list of Liberian town names, browsable by first letter.

Sadly, neither James Brown nor Joe Blow appear, but there are many other towns named after people. Jane Benny, Joe Morris, etc.
