my favorite part describing what happened: "mysterious disappearance and subsequent turning into animals"makes it seem so commonplace. people would talk about this stuff and believe it in Indonesia, but I'm pretty sure it didn't make it to the papers.

This story leaves me with only one word: Oh. My. God.
i've been going back and forth with the guy over email. i complained about the story, and she shot back angrily calling me names because i CCd his editor. he was mostly concerned about his reputation. he has yet to respond to the substance of my email, which is that it's impossible for people to turn into animals.
